Tobin has been the vicar of All Hallows, Ipswich
since 2004 and came to us
from his parish in South
Shields,
where he had served for 17 years. Prior to that Rick had also
served parishes
in Essex and Hampshire and before being ordained was a teacher. Rick
originally
hailed from
Oxfordshire with strong family ties to County Waterford
in Ireland.
Rick is keen to
build links with the community and is Chair of Governors at Morland School,

well as Chair
of Managers at Alderwood Pupil Referral Unit, which are both
in the parish of All
Hallows.
Rick is chaplain
to Ipswich Sea Cadets, who meet by the Wet Dock in Ipswich,
which borders
the parish but serves the whole area.
Also in the
parish
of All Hallows is Cliff Quay which sees many a cargo ship ties up, and
as
Honorary Chaplain, Mission
to Seafarers (Ipswich), Rick visits
ships on
most Thursday mornings.
Rick has become
involved in the local Library project, the Play Centre Development,
Bluebird
Lodge and various sheltered accommodation units in
